Gisela Herrera Pardo, is a Acupuncture Physician certified by NCCAOM (National Certification Committee of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) and a member of FSOMA (Florida State Oriental Medicine Association member.)
She started her career in 2007 as a chiropractic assistant, and soon graduated as a Licensed Massage Therapist during that same year. She gained tremendous experience in treating people with spinal problems as well as structural deficiencies. During that time, she fell in love with natural medicine, and the holistic approach. Fascinated with the effectiveness of acupuncture, she returned to school and graduated in December 2015 with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine at East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota. She did her internships at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital, Acupuncture and Nutrition Clinic of Brandon, and Acupuncture and Herbal Clinic.
She completed the Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification (SMAC) program May 2022. This is the most advanced training available to acupuncturists to excel at understanding and treating sports and orthopedic injuries. The SMAC program is over 270 hours of advanced Sports Medicine Acupuncture training that includes many successful integrative Eastern and Western approaches and is designed to provide the highest level of instruction in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain.
Her special interests are treating chronic and acute pain, sports injuries, depression and/or anxiety disorders, as well as digestive disorders, chronic constipation, and highly stressed individuals.
Being bilingual helps her serve a broader group in our community.
